Reflective self-winding bands for casualty triage – colors red, yellow, green, and black, size 32 × 3 cm. Reflective bands for casualty triage using the START method are used during mass casualty incidents (traffic accidents, fires, terrorist attacks, etc.) to enable rescuers to quickly and clearly sort casualties according to the severity of their condition.

The START method (Simple Triage And Rapid Treatment) is a rapid triage system used in mass casualty incidents. It serves to immediately divide casualties according to the severity of their condition so that assistance is provided to those who need it most.

Assessment is based on:

  • ability to walk

  • breathing

  • circulation

  • level of consciousness

Casualties are marked with color-coded bands (red, yellow, green, black) that determine treatment priority. The goal of the method is to save as many lives as possible in the shortest possible time.
